Actor and reality TV star Krystle D'Souza recently for a tour with filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and her cook, Dilip. The visit, featured in Farah's latest vlog, offered a glimpse into the actor's beautiful space in Lokhandwala, Mumbai.
Krystle’s home is a mix of comfort, fashion and modern design, from an elegant living room and a dedicated glam room to a well-organized walk-in closet. But one of the biggest highlights was her bedroom which Farah jokingly compared to a room in New York.
Elegance and coziness are combined in Krystle’s living room
The living room is finished in a muted palette of cream, beige and brown, lending the space a warm, understated feel. In the center is a large wooden coffee table surrounded by cream sofas. Plants, books, decorative pieces and a patterned rug add personality to the room, while paintings and framed art work compliment the overall decor. The living space is complemented with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a balcony with cozy seating overlooking the Mumbai skyline.
The dining area has the classic look of the house with a large wooden table and chairs in the backdrop of paintings and frames.
New York' is Krystle's bedroom, says Farah Khan
The bedroom seems to be one of the most prominent rooms in the house. There’s a big city view glass window and Farah Khan jokes that they have walked into a bedroom in New York. “Oh my, Krystle. We are in a bedroom in New York City. “From here you can see the Empire State Building,” Farah told us on the tour.
The room features a neatly made beige bed with a white comforter, but the real draw is the floral Sabyasachi wallpaper. The wallpaper cost around Rs 35,000 per roll giving distinctly luxurious touch to the bedroom, the report said.
A walk-in closet full of designer pieces
Krystle took Farah to her walk-in closet, full of designer clothes and handbags and all perfectly organized. Farah was clearly impressed by the tidiness of the area. Krystle even admitted she uses some of her designer bags for everyday outings, prompting Farah to joke about her own choice of bags. There’s a separate glam room where Krystle prepares herself. In the room there is a big orange sofa, and a neon message on the stone wall that says Everything You Can Imagine Is Real.
"This is my house. My own home."
But the home tour was more than just a look inside, it was a look into Krystle’s journey to build a home for herself. When Farah asked if the property was actually hers and not rented, Krystle said she had worked very hard for it. She also remembered living in a smaller two-bedroom house in Sion.
The tour felt more personal than just a celebrity house walkthrough as the contrast between her previous home and the spacious residence in Lokhandwala was evident. Krystle’s home with it’s beautifully designed interiors, fashion filled closet and NY inspired bedroom.
